Miswak And Its Benefits.
Miswaak is a natural toothbrush made of a piece of fibrous root of the tree Araak that develops around the Arabian Peninsula. You can buy a stick miswaak in any good Islamic store. The outer bark must be stripped from the tip of the stick , then the fibrous inner root can be chewed slowly until it separates into a brush. When the fine brush wears away more bark can be removed and the process begins again .
Sayings Of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH):
- The Messenger of Allah ( peace and blessings wa sallam) said
prophetic traditions : "If I do not think it would be difficult for my
followers , I would have ordered them to brush their teeth with a
miswaak before each prayer. "
Al Sahih Bukhari Volume 2, , Number 12, Book 13 - The
Messenger of Allah ( peace and blessings wa sallam) “Siwak is a means
of purification for the mouth and pleases the Lord ."
